The term Chakra comes from Sanskrit meaning “circle of movement.” It is variously translated as “vortex of spinning energy” or “wheel.” The chakras are seats of consciousness through which we ideally express ourselves. In most cases, however, we consciously or unconsciously limit expression to a couple of these centers. Usually our experiences and the belief systems that we adopt prevent the chakras from opening and developing as they should.
Chakra balancing encourages the body to return to a natural state of balance and joy using knowledge of the energetic system. Each practitioner brings his/her unique training and perspective into the session to balance and invigorate the chakra system in a unique personal way.

Chakra energies play important physical, psychological, and spiritual roles in health and vitality. Undigested experiences (including emotional reactions) can lodge in specific chakras and block health flow and further growth. In each session, the therapist works with the Chakra system to clear deep energetic blocks, release the past and open ways to a renewed future.
During the process:
Chakra balancing is a holistic process, wherein the therapist scans the chakras for excessive / deficient energies and balances them with even distribution of energy and aligns upper and lower chakras. Various tools like body psychotherapy, visualization, chanting seed mantras and affirmations are used to reprogram these wheels of energy.
