Energy medicine is a field of complementary therapy based on the interactions of the human energy field with other energy fields. The human body is surrounded by and emits various kinds of energy. Each of our main energy layers (physical, etheric, emotional, mental, spiritual) have their own individual function whilst being interconnected and interpenetrating each other. Health and disease appear to be related to the flow or lack of flow of our energetic systems.
Each of our thoughts, emotions, and experiences have a certain energetic imprint. We store these imprints in our field, however it doesn’t serve us to hold onto heavier and denser energies which were created in the past as they could possibly have a negative impact on our lives. Energy medicine helps us to shed these unwanted energies and connect with who we really are and learn more about what our true essence is.

How does Energy Medicine work?
In Energy Medicine the body is healed by activating its natural healing energies and by restoring energies that have become weak, disturbed or out of balance. Energy Medicine can also be a complete system for self-care and self-help, promoting overall wellness. Practices include:
This is considered a branch of somatic psychology and is based on the concept that people experience the world not only through their thoughts/emotions but also through their bodies. This approach to treatment is more experiential than traditional forms of therapy. A wide variety of techniques are used including those involving touch, movement and breathing.
Emotional freedom technique (EFT) is an alternative treatment for physical pain and emotional distress. It is also referred to as tapping or psychological acupressure. EFT focuses on the meridian points or energy hot spots to restore balance in the body’s energy. It is believed that restoring this energy balance can relieve symptoms that a negative experience or emotion may have caused.
Hoʻoponopono is a Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness. The Hawaiian word translates into English simply as correction. There are four simple steps to this method – Repentance, Forgiveness, Gratitude and Love.
Repentance – I’M SORRY
You own the sole responsibility for everything in your mind, even if it seems to be “out there.” Once you realize that, it is highly natural to feel sorry.
Forgiveness – PLEASE FORGIVE ME
It does not matter who you are asking for forgiveness from, just ask for it. It is important to say it till you mean it. It is also important to remember your remorse as you ask to be forgiven.
Gratitude – THANK YOU
Be thankful. It does not matter who you’re thanking. Thank your body for all it does for you and the times it listens to you. Thank yourself for being the best you can be. Thank the Universe. Thank whatever it was that just forgave you. It is important to continue being thankful for it all.
Love – I LOVE YOU
Preach love and say, ‘I love you.’ Say it to your body, say it to your mind and soul. Say it to the air you breathe, to the house that shelters you, and to your challenges too. It is important to mean it and feel it. There is nothing as powerful as Love.
